The Speakers

Leanne Morton has worked as a Continence Nurse Advisor as part of the Urology team at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for over 25 years. In her role, Leanne has amassed an extensive range of skills and knowledge across the field of Urology.  Her areas of interest include urethral stricture disease, prostate cancer, bladder dysfunction and catheter care.  Leanne has developed and implemented several nurse-led clinics to improve access to care. Leanne has obtained post graduate studies in Continence Nursing and Prostate Nursing Care.  Outside of work, Leanne has a passion for cooking and eating out.

Ros Lawrence has clinical expertise in many areas of Urology and Continence having worked in a variety of settings, both public and private, for more than 20 years. She is a long-term member of VUNS and a past committee member, including time as secretary and treasurer.  Ros has a Master of Nursing in Urology and Continence and currently works as a Continence Nurse Consultant at Caulfield Hospital.  Ros is presenting a case study on a patient with recurrent catheter blockages.

Dr. Shiva Nair, MBChB, PhD (Pharmacology), FRACS (Urol), is a NZ trained and based Urologist and Uro-oncologic Surgeon. He is a Consultant Urologist at TUGNZ, based at Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, NZ where he treats general and oncological urological conditions. Shiva also holds a PhD in Pharmacology and is passionate about research and improving patient outcomes.
