Urology NPs Research Survey

We cordially invite you to participate in our project to define the Urology Nurse Practitioner roles in Australia and New Zealand.

Presently there is no specific definition for the Nurse Practitioner (NP) providing care for urology patients. This Delphi study will enroll NPs from Australia & New Zealand, working in urology care environments, to determine a working definition for the Urology NP.

Having a targeted, country-specific definition for the Urology NP will assist in professional development, accreditation, determination of potential scopes of practice and offer stakeholders and health care facilities an improved definition of this specialist role. A contemporary description will also aid in the sustainability of Urology NPs.

You are eligible to participate if:

  1. You are a Urology Nurse Practitioner
  2. You have > 2 years’ experience, working a minimum of 20 hours/week with urology patients, in any role (clinician, researcher, etc.

Participation in the survey signifies consent. This survey will remain open until 30th September, 2022. Your involvement in this Delphi study will require you to respond to questionnaires which will then be sent back to respondents for further comments. The Delphi process keeps the same group of expert participants until consensus is reached, usually after 2-3 rounds of survey.
