ANZUNS Professional Development Award – AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND SOCIETY OF UROLOGY – NEW ZEALAND UROLOGICAL NURSES SOCIETY INC Conference 2026
This award is for registered nurses working in the field of urological nursing, who can demonstrate how this significant professional development award can be utilised to improve the outcomes of the patients they care for.
This award offers a registered nurse the opportunity to refine their nursing practice in urology care.
This award provides funding towards travel and attendance to the Aotearoa New Zealand Society of Urology – New Zealand Urological Nurses Society INC Conference, in Napier, New Zealand from 28th – 30th October 2026.

The award comprises:
$2,500 (AUD) funding payable to the recipient to support conference registration and travel costs.
All complete applications will be considered, and the successful applicant should meet the following criteria:
A Registered Nurse practicing in Australia or New Zealand
Minimum employment of 20 hours per week in Urology nursing or at the discretion of the ANZUNS committee, considering the position held by the applicant and the educational opportunity for which the award application has been made.
Nurses who apply must have a minimum of three years post registration experience.
Nurses who apply must be a active member of the Australia and New Zealand Urological Nurses Society (ANZUNS)
Nurses who apply must be demonstrate an ongoing commitment to Urology nursing.
Applications close on Friday 31 July 2026 at midnight AEST.
Applications should include the following:
- Curriculum Vitae.
- A detailed proposal (including a proposed schedule and budget) of how the award will be utilised and how the award will benefit practice. The proposal should also address how knowledge gained from the conference will be disseminated to ANZUNS colleagues.
A declaration of any real or perceived conflicts of interest in relation to receiving this award or the proposed use of this award is required.
Conditions of ANZUNS Professional Development Award – Aotearoa New Zealand Society of Urology – New Zealand Urological Nurses Society INC
The Award must be used toward registration and travel for the Aotearoa New Zealand Society of Urology – New Zealand Urological Nurses Society INC Conference, 2026. This includes completion of all travel & conference attendance.
If the successful applicant does not attend the conference any funds received will need to be paid back.
A formal panel will make the final decision on the successful applicant. The panel will be comprised of the ANZUNS President/Vice President and two representatives of the Australia and New Zealand Urological Nurses Society (ANZUNS) committee.
The recipient will be required to present learnings at an ANZUNS webinar following the conference.
